SCOTTISH FARMERS.
SETTLEMENT IN ALBERTA. OTTAWA, Jan. 19. Advice from Winnipeg states that a settlement, known as the Clan Donald colony, comprising 100 families and embracing 30,000 acres, will be established at Vermilton, Alberta, next spring, under tho joint agency of the Canadian Pacific Railway and tho Scottish Immigrant Aid Society. The. land has already been purchased and funds are available for tho construction of homes and buildings, in addition to stocking and equipping the arms.—A. and N.Z. cable.
