THE WHEAT MARKET.
CONFERENCE AT CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 20. A conference of representatives of millers, merchants and growers, convened by the Departmnt of Industries and Commerce, was hold at Christchurch to-day to consider tho draft regulations in the event of control of wheat prices, and also what steps, if any, should be taken if the Government decides to allow a free market this season.
Tho proceedings are not open to the press.
