Received January 20, 11.30 a.m. CAIRO, Jan. 19.

Of tho 18 Communists arrested in Juno following on tho police observation of their activities, three, Weiss, Rolalc and Antonin, were sentenced to imprisonment varying from a year to six months. The balance, including the woman, Rosenthal, were acquitted. The case was heard in camera. It is alleged that Weiss’s real name is lvossoy and that he received instructions from Moscow. He had boon active in Palestine and Egypt. A letter from Moscow that was intercepted complained of tho little headway ho was making among tho fellaheen (peasantry).—A. and N.Z. cable.
