Acliram Bey, a rich and distinguished aristocrat, on becoming displeased with the behaviour of his 36 wives, asked permission to dissolve the liarem. Tho authorities refused, whereupon Acliram invited the wives to a feast. Ho sprinkled poison in their food and drink, and all were later discovered dead in the banqueting hall, including Acliram himself.—Reuter.
