ULTIMATUM TO DRUSES.
MUST SURRENDER SOON. LAST DAY FIXED. Received December 30, 10.55 a.m. DAMASCUS, Dec. 29. The Druse leader, Hassan Kharrat, was killed in a suburban skirmish. A motor car knocked down another chief proceeding to an audience with M. do Jouvenel. A doctor discovered a long knife concealed in his sleeve. M. de Jouvenal has fixed January 8 as the last day for the Druses’ surrender. —Sydney Sun cable.
