VIEWS OF BRITAIN. REPUDIATED BY AMBASSADOR. a WASHINGTON, Dec. 8. Tho former United States Ambassador to Great Mr Georg© Harvey, wrote in Tho North American Review a most pessimistic and gloomy article on Britain’s future, and to-day tho British Embassy issued a formal repudiation of Mr Harvey’s views. “We may look ahead to a restoration of confidence and credit throughout Europe,’’ said Sir Esme Howard, the British Ambassador, “and to a reestablishment of European Markets, which should alter, much for the better, Britain’s economic prospects, and which has already begun to do so to a remarkable degree.”
