ALLEGED MURDER.
SHIP’S OFFICER CHARGED. LONDON, Oct. 23. First officer towers was charged at Southampton with the murder of captain Clews. He was remanded for a week. Accused is aged 50, and is a native of Bristol.—Reuter. Towers, tho first officer of the steamer Melita, is alleged to have shot the captain dead when at Antwery.
