FUTURE CONFLICTS.
AN AMERICAN PREDICTION. WASHINGTON, Oet. 24. That the first of the great naval conflicts of future wars will be gigantic battles between entire fleets of the contending nations was Mr AVilhur’s prediction when addressing the National Council of Congregational Churches. .Justifying the recent naval disasters, lie declared that the navy must take hazards to prepare for such a test. Vessels and aircraft must function daily in times of peace as well as war, or they would be useless for both.—A. and N.Z. cable.
