TEACHER RESIGNS.
Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 25. As an outcome, it is said, of a disagreement with the headmaster (Rev. E. C. Crosse), a well-known member of tho teaching staff of Christ's College, Mr J. G. Denniston, has handed his resignation to the Board of Governors. It is stilted that the trouble which has arisen, and which cjncerns a question of policy, formed the subject of a meeting of masters at which an attitude was taken up that was critical of Mr Crosse. Mr Denniston. who is a son of the Into Sir John Denniston, had a distinguished career as a pupil at the college. He held a commission in King Edward’s Horse in the war, and graduated as Master of Arts at Cambridge University, being a barrister-at-law of the Inner Temple, London.
