Notts in their first innings made 274 (Lilley 72, Kennedy 4 for 60, Newman 4 for' 69). In their second inpings thev made 400 for 6 wickets and declared (Whysail 87, John Gunn 166, Walker, not out, 83). Hampshire, first innings, 348 (Mead 112, Bowell 58) ; second, 277 for 8 wickets (Newman 54, Aird 60, Hosie 96, Matthews 4 wickets for 46). Hampshire won on the first innings. Somerset, first innings, 211 (White, not out, 77, Parkin 4 wickets for 39, Sibbles 4 for 56) ; second innings, 155 (Parkin 4 wickets for 51). Lancashire, first innings, 361 (Makepeace 62. Hopwood 70, Sharp 57, Bridges 5 wickets for 111, Creswell 4 for 74) ; second, 9 without the loss of a wicket. Lancashire won hv ten wickets. For Warwick, against Leicester Smith made 149. For Leicester Astill made 109 and Sledding took 0 wickets for 107. Warwick won.
For Worcester against Sussex Abell made 124 and Root took 6 wickets for 53. For Sussex Wensiey took 5 for 106. Worcester won.
For Gloucester against Kent Hammond made 121. For Kent Johnstone made 102 and Cornwallis took 5 wickets for 47. Kent won. For Glamorgan against Derby Ryan took 5 wickets for 19 runs in the first innings and 8 for 41 in the second. Glamorgan won.—Reuter.
