Dosser alleged that the papers were given to him in sealed packages for delivery to certain persons, lie declared that the police were actuated by motives of vengeance against him. lie also stated that his wife knew nothing of the documents. Dosser was remanded till Friday on hail of 20,000 dollars and his wife released under bond.—A. arid N.Z. cable. Dosser and hi- wife, who are Russians, are suspected of being Bolsheviks, and were arrested on arrival in Shanghai of the steamer Mantua. PORTUGUESE WARSHIPS. BEING SENT TO CHINA. Received June 30 11.15 a.m. LISBON. June 29. Owing to the anti-foreign agitation in China, two warships and transport with troops and munitions will he sent to Macao from Portugal. It reported that a force of native troops may also be sent from Mozambique.—Reuter.
