LOVE TRAGEDY.
MURDER IN A LIFT. BUDAPEST, Feb. 0.. Au amazing love tragedy occurred in tho elevator of the fashionable Ritz Hotel. Kiraly, tho lift attendant, foil madly in love with Elizabeth Adam, aged' 20, a pretty chambermaid. When tho latter entered tho lift Kiraly kept her prisoner while ho passionately pressed his suit. Tho girl was frightened when Kiraly refused to stop, and, finally, maddened by tho girl's refusals, Kiraly stabbed her to tho heart. Ho then took the lift to tho top floor, and cut the arteries of his own wrists. The girl died a low hours later. Kiraly was rescued from bleeding to deatli. He is in a critical condition but is expected to recover.—A. and N.Z cable.
