MOTOR CAR CAN HELP. LONDON, Jan. 19. British motorists assembled at the Hotel Cecil and cheered the story of a British car, which crossed and re-crossed Australia l>etween Sydney and Port Darwin. The Colonial Secretary (Mr Amery) paid a tribute to the British workmanship that enabled the car to traverse the roughest conditions. Tho Agent-General for \Vest Australia (Mr Colcbatch) pointed out that the problem of peopling the Northern Territory was a similar problem to the peopling of the whole of Australia, and motor car development would play a most Erominent part. Up to the present there ad been too much talk and too little done for the development, of Australia.
