Feilding were fortunate in getting such a strong. batting combination as Cheltcn-huh-Kimbolton out for such a. small score as 78, but could not take advantage of it and only replied with 54—E. M. Hare 18, G. C. Hare 20, and Sugden 17 scoring double figures. Harding was just getting into his stride when Hare snapped him up at point. Bailey, the other double figure man, hit out merrily for his contribution of 12; none of the others were able to do anything with Sugden who kept an excellent .length throughout the innings. In Cheltenham-Kimbojton second innings, Earle add Daniels batted attractively, the former being unbeaten for 26 and Daniels played one of Fitxpatriclc's one to his wicket just M stumps were drawn for the day.
