MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.
MOTOR LORRY FALLS OVER BANK. OCCUPANTS UNHURT. Per Press Association. ELTHAM, Jan. 7. A miraculous escape from injury was tho luck of Mr A. R. Cower lorry proprietor, and Mr Yates, of Eltham, yesterday afternoon, when Gower's lorry went over a steep bonk at a dangerous comer near Pukengahu. The steering gear locked and the lorry went over tho bank and through a hedge and wire fence, and ended ;te enreer in a bog after travelling over a chain. ,'-■ Neither of the occupants jumped out, but luckily the lorry travelled on an even anjrle and did not capsize. There were no injuries to the occupants and very little damage to the lorry.
