The Wellington Bowling Centre hist night carried a motion: "That a remit he sent to the Dominion Council suggesting that teams be invited from Canada, Australia and South Africa io visit- New Zealand in 1925, with the object of commencing annual interEmpire howling tournaments.” The mover stated that lie had interviewed Sir Robert Stout and Lord Jellicoe on the matter, and they cordially approved of the suggestion. A gentleman in Australia hud offered to give a cup valued at £SOO fob a competition somewhat similar to the Davis Cup. The seconder of the motion, while not so optimistic as the- mover as to the success of the scheme, believed it would be endorsed by the Dominion Council, and. even if it could not ho realised this year, much goud might come out of it.
