OBJECTIONS BY UNIONISTS. SYDNEY. Dec, 9. The sea transport group of unions _ is preparing for a fight to a .finish in a final effort to abolish the shipping labour bureau. The Waterside Federation is prepared for the deregistration of the union as u result of the present tactics of ignoring Mr Justice Powers’s direction to return lo work, staling that the Arbitration Court is hampering, rather than helping them.— Press Association. MELBOURNE, Dec. 9. . The Watersiders’ Federation has decided lo defy the Court and to continue the strike until the shipping labour bureau is abolished. The executive is indifferent to the threat of deregistration, as it is actually considering applying for deregistratiou. —Presd Association.
STRIKERS AT FREMANTLE
PERTH, Dec. 9. A mass meeting of strikers at.Fremantle adopted a resolution that the Seamen’s Union should communicate with Air McCallum immediately in order to bring about a settlement of the dispute. The steamer Benullu. which has been delayed a fortnight, has sailed, apprentices being compelled to cast off the lines. Press Association.
