(93d to lOd per lb); coloured and white, old season’s, 93s to 94s per cwt. (lOd per lb). Australian (market steudy), coloured 90s per cwt. (9£d per lb). The estimated stocks of cheese on December Ist at London, Liverpool and Bristol were: —Canadian and American 209,600 boxes; New Zealand and Australian 33,170 crates, against 132,700 boxes nnd 13,100 crates respectively for the same time last year. A shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Mamari. Casein: French rennet £sl per ton. Hemp.—The Manila market was firm and active during this —eck but closed quiet. “J” grade 1 embor-Fcbruary shipments sold at £56 to £56 10s, but today’s value is £56 10s, but to-day’s value is £56. Now Zealand market quiet. Small business has been done in liighpoints, De-cember-Fcbruary shipments at £43 10s. Today’s quotations are, liighpoints £44, fair, December-February shipments £42. Wool. —The demand continues brisk with New Zealand wool selling well chiefly to Bradford. Good support from Continent and America and opening prices fully maintained. Tallow.—The market is quiet. Mutton, fine 53s to- 53s 6d per cwt, fair to good 49s 6d to 525, dark to dull 46s to 47s 6d. Beef, sweet and mixed 51s to 63s per cwt, fair to good 48s to 50s, dark to dull 44s 6d to 46s 6d. Mixed, fair to good, 47s 6d to 50s per cwt, dark to dull 44s 6d to 46s 6d. Gut, etc., 41s to 46s per cwt. Peas. —Blue marrowfats : Japanese now making £24 10s per ton, c.i.f. DeeemberJanuary shipments after reaching £26. Tasmanian “A” grade sold at £2l to £22 c.i.f. New Zealand ex store worth about £lB to £2O. Maple: Market slow. Tasmanian spot quoted at 80s to 87s 6d per 504 lb sellers, and February-April shipments 72s to 755. Reported sales in new crops at 74s 6d. New Zealand No. 1 partridge slow sales spot at 70s to 77s 6d. Buyers indicate 65s to 70s, new crops for shipment early next year. English maple good supply on hand offering at 50s to 60s. Beans.—English aro plentiful at 53s to 62s per 532 lb. Danish cocksfoot,—London quotations at present about 82s to 95s per cwt. Eggs (trade slow). —English, Irish, Danish, Dutch and Belgian, 24s to 29s petlong 100: Italian,' Australian and South African 21s to 24s per long 100: Argentine, Russian and Syrian 16s 9d to 20s per long 100; Egyptian, 12s to 13s 3d per long IOOj New Zealand 25s to 26s per long 100. WOOL SALES AT SYDNEY. SYDNEY, Dec. 8. The wool sales resumed with keen competition in all sections and a strong market ruled for good descriptions of merino. Faulty descriptions, both of merino and crossbred, were slightly irregular. Lambs wool was in strong demand. Greasy merino sold to 45£d. —Press Association.
