BOXING.

At a meeting of the Manawatu Boxing Association I held last night, Mr 11. 10. Bennett presiding, further arrangements for the boxing tournament to he held on Boxing Night were made. It was decided that, in addition to the fifteen round bout between Parker and McDonald, a number of amateur fights be staged, the latter to include the matching of \Y. Walden (Manawatu) and N. McKnight (Hamilton) and two Manawatu exponents in J. Evans and Mark Carroll. It was left to the committee to arrange other amateur fixtures. It had been intended to match Fitzsimmons, of Wellington, in an amateur bout but it was reported to the meeting that an opponent for him had not been secured.
