AUCKLAND, Dec. 9. ; At the annual meeting of the Stock Exchange Mr Creagh (chairman) said that the past year liad boon a period of greater prosperity than the previous twelve months. The business of sharebroking was on a. better footing than it had ever been previously. A large percentage of the public bad learned that mortgages were not the only form of investment worthy of consideration. He believed that the number of those who in the future would be prepared to consider investing their capital in gilt-edged security would increase. At the same time it was to be hoped there would before long be a larger amount of money for mortgage purposes than there had been for some time past.
