A party of boys taking tho “trades course” at the Palmerston North Technical School, in charge of Mr A. J. Newman, paid a visit of inspection to the Manawatu hosiery factory to-day to see the intricate machinery and tho various processes employed in the manufacture of knitted garments of all descriptions. Afterwards all stages in the manufacture of butter boxes and tallow casks were closely followed at the well-known works of Messrs "YV. Cook and Sons.
