MONSTER GARDEN FETE.

The gardens of St. Mary’s Convent will present a festive appearance on Thursday afternoon next, w-lien a monster garden fete will lie held, the proceeds of which will be devoted towards the fund for the new Convent In addition to the usual attractions, such us produce stalls, sweets and many competitions, a doll stall will he conducted, at which all sorts and sizes of dolls will be disposed of. Simla Claus will tieliver gifts from a huge Christmas tree, while the spare coins of the unwary visitors will be commandeered by the officials of the mock court. Quite apart from the spectacular aspect of the function, the fete will provide mothers with an admirable opportunity of buying Christmas gifts for the little ones. Even if only for the sake of the children, there should be a large attendance. The Sisters have charge of the arrangements.
