The box 'plans for “The Messiah” will open on Thursday next at Messrs G. 11. i Bennetts, Broadway. The choir, under Mr Holmes Runriicles. is making marked progress with this most beautiful oratorio and a perforance is assured that will set a new standard in oratorio work in Palmerston North’. An orchestra of 25 instruments, composed of members of 'ho Orchestral Society who have offered their services, will provide the music and those who heard the recent orchestral concert know that tlie orchestra’s work will be ft feature of “Idle Messiah.” The soloists are all outstanding figures in Dominion musical circles .and nothing is being left undone to ensure a very fine performance.
