Legislative Council this afternoon the Education Amendment Bill, the Motor Vehicles Bill, and the Poultry Bill were introduced from the House of Representatives and read the first time. The Pensions Amendment Bill, the Scaffolding and Excavation Amendment Bill and the Railway Authorisation Bill wore passed. The Patents, Designs and Trade Marks Amendment Bill was rend the second time pro forma and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Tit the House oi Representatives the Coal Mines Act Amendment Bill and the Shipping and Seamen’s Act Amendment Bill were brought down by Oov-enmi'-Gonerars message. In reply to Vlr Sullivan, the Minister of Marine explained that the latter Bill dealt with the question of wireless on ships trading on the New Zealand const. Both Bills were read the first time.
