I 11. Whyte was ordered to pay forthwith Ito the Queensland Insurance Co. (Mr limes) £lB 13s 4d, in default 21 days’ imprisonment. WELL-BORER'S CLAIM. W. Brown, of Palmerston North, contractor, proceeded against A. McDonald, ot Turakina, settler, claiming £9 7s, being the balance allegedly due to plaintiff on an account, for well-boring done by him for defendant. Mr Rutherfurd appeared for plaintiff and Mr Ongloy foe defendant. After hearing evidence his Worship gave judgment • for plaintiff for £4 7s, with costs £2 ss. DIVORCE CASE SEQUEL. A. E. Wood, of Palmerston North, bookseller, proceeded against Reginald Eve, of Palmerston North, jeweller’s apprentice, claiming £173 7is 6d costs in a divorce action wherein pk.intilf was the petitioner and defendant the co-respondent. Mr Ongley appeared for plaintiff and Mr Rutherfurd for defendant. Defendant, examined as to his ability to pay, said that he had turned 21 years of j age since the hearing of the divorce action and was now earning 6 £2 5s per week, which would be his wage till next September. He had no property and had doctors’ and dentiste’ bills to meet (so tiiat. he could make no offer of payment. His Worship refused to make an order.
