Their Majesties tiie King nnd Queen attended the consecration of the new cathedral at Liverpool, which, when completed, will have cost £2,000,000, and will be the third largest in the world.
Seven archbishops, 40 bishops and 25 deans participated in a supremely impressive service. The King’s speecli at the civic reception. as well as at the consecration service, was broadcasted throughout the countryside.—A. and N.Z. cable.
