ATTEMPTING TO BRIBE.
EX-FOOTBALLERS SENT TO GAOL. Received June 26, 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Juno 24. John Browning and Archibald Kyle, 'ex-international Scottish footballers, were sentenced 60 clays in goal for attempting to bribe two Boness footballers to play "dead" against l.och Gelly. The officials set a trap for the accused, who were arrested, when in the act of paying over the money.—A. and N.Z. cable.
