Alfred Neill, a prisoner with many aliases, recently escaped from Mildura and eluded' the police till he drove into Broken Hill, allegedly in a stolen car, and took a female acquaintance aboard and headed for tho back country. The police car pursued in a mad chase through tho rough country and was overtaking the fugitives when a tyre blew out. A second car was procured and the police again got within striking distance, when a wheel came off. Finally, after a sensational pursuit over 500 miles, Neill and his companion were captured asleep in the bush. —Press Association.
