MISSING TEACHER
BODY RECOVERED IN RIVER. DISCOVERY NEAR FOXTON. Yesterday, Constables Owen and Ryan, acting on "information received, proceeded to the bank of the Mauawatu river at a. point some 10 miles above the Foxiou Heads and recovered the body of a man which w#s subsequently removed to the mortuary. At noon today the Pabnersion North police informed a""Standard" reporter that the bodv had this morning been identified as that of Ernest Stuart Moßean, aged 34 years, a school teacher by profession, who resided at 39 Albert slreet, Pahnerston North. The deceased was reported missing to the police on April 27 lasr -and later it was reported that the body of a man had been seen floating iu the Manawatu river near Fitzroy bend, but at the time it was not recovered;. The polis? had pursued a vigilant search for the body ever since, but no trace of it was found until yesterday's discovery. The body, which is stated to be in an advanc-ed stage of decomposition, was identified by the clothing in which it was garbed. An inquest will be held at Pahnerston North iu due course.
