QUEEN'S DOLL'S HOUSE.

WEMBLEY'S MOST POPULAR ' EXHIBIT.

What is the most popular individual attraction at the British Empire Exhibition? According to the Daily Chronicle it is the Queen's Doll's House, in- the Palace of Art. The Doll's House stanch in a fjort of huge plate-glass case. The exterior of the miniature palace is lifted, as if it were the cover of a bib vox, so that the whole of the 36 rooms are exposed to view. The visitor sees, in turn, all the storeys, from the servants' bedrooms above to the exquisitely furnished dining-room, sitting-room, ami library, and thence to the kitchens and cellars,' the latter stocked with hundreds of tiny bottles of wine, all duly corked and labelled.

From the hour of opening until late evening an unbroken procession winds between the iron railings. Obviously, many of the people would like to linger for hours, but this is impossible, because then not one in a hundred intending visitors would get near the Dolls House. So all the time attendants hover about, .with the inexorable command, "Move on, please." In vain are appeals to examine closer the hundred.-, of alluring inch-square volumes that line the bookshelves of the library; you must be content with the assurance that they are all "real" books, specially written by all the distinguished authors of the day. You must be content, too, with the assurance that the motor-cars in the basement garage are "real," that the electric lift really "lifts," and that the little tin boxes in kitchen and storeroom are filled with "real" biscuits, and the tiny canisters with "real" salt and sugar and spices.
