SCHOOL SWIMMING SPORTS
On Friday afternoon tle Glen Oroua school held children’s swimming sports in the school baths. Although tne -weather had turned colder there were quite a number of entries and the spectators were entertained for about one and a half hours. -Mr Whittomc acted as judge. After the close of the programme the iadieu provided afternoon tea for both children and visitors. Ihis was followed by . the presentation of .the prizes by Mr J. Boyce, chairman of the Swimming Club. Cheers were given for the teachers, committee, ladies, judge, swimming club, the champion swimmers and the runner-up. . ..
