SALE IN THE SOUTH.

(Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 11

The dispersal sale of W. D. limit’s Bainfield stud Romneys was continued on Saturday when record prices were realised. ’1 liirty-fOur stud rams brought £2400, an average of £67 13s. The top prices were 260 guineas and 220 guineas, die purchasers being Mr W. J. McGregor, of Mount Linton, and Mr Alfred Matthews, cf.Featherston. Another ram, Ajax 11, also realised 220 guineas. The total for the sale was £11",268.

The Bainfield estate was auctioned on Saturday evening, high prices being realised. The homestead block of 11 acres • brought £4OOO and another block of 28 acres £2700. Every lot was sold at a highly satisfactory figure.
