' STATEMENT BY PROFESSOR.
ADELAIDE, Sept. 7. Professor Robertson, professor 1 61 physiology at the Adelaide University, replying to an article published in a medical journal casting a doubt on the efficacy of insulin, and declaring it a dangerous drug whereby hundreds oi diabetics will he hurried into their grave. He says that during the eight months the bio-chemical department has been manufacturing insulin a considerable number of severe cases have been treated by local physicians, every case being benefited, setae to a most remarkable degree. Although martj) hundred doses nave been administered to children as well as to adults, not a single instance of deleterious effect lias been observed. Professor Robertson admits that careless administration might be attended by some slight degree of danger, but the same applies to all drugs* —Press Association.
