Mr J. A. Nash (Palmerston) asked tho Minister of Education in Parliament yesterday whether he would bring in legislation amending the Education Act, making the working hours of technical school teachers the same as secondary or primary teachers. The Minister of Education replied that the working hours of teohnical school teachers were nominally. three to five hours per week longer than those of primary or secondary teachers, according to the subjects taught: In calculating the total work done by technical teachers, however, each hour in the evening counted as one hour and a quarter. When the scale of salary was fixed for technical school teachers the number of teaching _ hours was fully taken into consideration;
