IMPORTATIONS FROM TASMANIA. (Per Press AreoeiaiionA WELLINGTON, June 27. Replying to tho Hon. 1). Budtlo in the Holism of Representatives to day, the Hon. W. Nusworthy said ho believed it was a fact that u shipment of potatoes of about ,300 toms would bo landed at Auckland from Tasmania, and it could be taken for granted that every precaution would be observed to see chat no disease or infection of any kind was introduced into the Dominion as a result of ibis shipment. Precautions worn now being taken in that direction. His information led him to believe that ill ere would not bo sufficient potatoes grown in the Dominion to meet local wauls and wo would have to resort to importations. At tho same time, he did not think the importations would be so large as to affect the good price which the local growers would be likely to obtain.
