ONTARIO ELECTIONS.
PRIME MINISTER DEFEATED
_ OTTAWA, Juno 26. Tho Ontario elections resulted in the defoul of (he Premier. Mr Drury, and live other members of the Cabinet, Mr Ray. loader of tho Liberal Party, also lost his scat to « Conservative. On (ho prohibition question, tho Oonsorvativos too!: a neutral ,st:tih.l, while (ho Farmers’ Party emphatically supported it. It is anticipated that Mr Howard Ferguson will be Premier of the new Conservative Ministry.—A. and N.Z. table.
TENNIS AT WIMBLEDON.

The most important matches at the Wimbledon tennis tourney were those in which ilie Americans made their first appearance. Johnstone defeated Higgs, 6—4, o—2, 6—l; Richards defeated Washer, 6 —l, 6—3, 6 —2; Norton defeated Hit chic. 6—2, 6—4, 6—3: Watson (Belgian), defeated F. R. ('rawfont, 5—7, 6—3, 7—5, 4—l;. Crawford retired. Hunter, the American, beat Planner, 7-5. 6-4, 6-1.
