THE GORGE ROAD.

AGAIN OPEN TO TRAFFIC. Enquiry at the office of Messrs Jickell and Gihnour, engineers to the Mnnawatu Gorge Board of Control, elicited the information that it was expected that a clearance of the debris from the recent slip in the Gorge would be effected this morning and the road would bo again open to vehicular traffic. The spot at which the slip occurred is, however, a doubtful one, and the rain of last night may cause a farther fall of earth.
