Mr Ban Lynch, who-underwent an operation in a private hospital, is now making good progress towards recovery. Tho Ilov, A, Hodge preached his farewell service at the Congregational Church at Napier on Sunday, concluding a pastorale of llj years.
Miss Dossie Haulier, daughter of the Bishop of Nelson, accompanied by Mr Horace Sadiier, has left for a trip to England.
Mr 11. Henderson, 8.A., B.Hc, (London), at present a member of lire staff of Wellington College, has been appointed to a position on the staff of the Christchurch itoys’ High School. Mr Pan Sien Chung. M.Sc.. special representative of the Board of Managers, Ling Naam Agricultural College, Canton, China, is at present in Auckland. Mr Chung will tour tho Dominion lecturing to Chinese residents on agriculture in China,
Mr R, R-. D. McLean, of Napier, patron of the North Island Sheep Dog Trial Association, recently presented Mr W. Cuthbertson, secretary of tho North Island Sheep hojf Trial Association, with a shepherd's crook, which he brought out from Scotland. Tho staff bears a suitable inscription.
