J. A. Porter, riding a new motor eyolo, designed by himself, won the tourist trophy offered in the Isle of Man for light machines of 250 cm. He inado the record lime of 4hr. glinjn. 37see,, or an average of 51,93m.p.h. for the 3264 miles of course. A gale blew broadside on during the race, but the small engine, which is about the size of a kitchen kettle, stood the test and broke many lap records.
