ORIENT LODGE.
The quarterly meeting of die, Orient Lodge, No. 42, 1.0.0. F., was held Jast night, when N.G. Bro. K. Pcrsson presided over an excellent attendance. During the evening a discussion arose on the proposed St- Helen's Home, and ft was decided to forward a letter of appreciation to the Mayor for the manner in which ho had received the deputation which had waited on him. A report was received on behalf of ill'.- District Lodge, which held halfyearly conference recently at Taihape. Fraternal greetings were also received from that lodge. The iirfnl nomination and election of officers took place during the evening, which resulted as follows: N.G., Bro. W. P. Casey; V.G., Bro, Jj. Barkhi; financial secretary, Bro D. F, Smillie; recording secretary, Bro, 0. W. Harris; treasurer, Bro. J. Fahey; Master of (. eremonies, Bro A. E. Moilor. At the conclusion of the business of the evening, the gathering were the guesit of Bro. K. Porsson at supper.
A further shipment of astrachans so ninth in demand for those short, smart littio coats is to hand ex Remuora. These latest additions are in navy, nigger and black and are 54 inches widu, 23s 6d not cash. The ('. M. Ross Co. Lld.-Advl.
