COMPETITIONS. EXCELLENT DISPLAYS. The competitors section of tho W inter Show was entered upon this morning when, despite the heavy nature of the ground, some very excellent displays of leaping were lortheoming. hollowing are the detailed results;— Pony Leaping Competition.—For ponies 14.2 hands and under, ridden by boys or girls not over 16 years of ago: H. M. Bluiuloii’s (Kakariki) Do Wet 1, A. Osborne's (Glen Oroua) 2, J, Lang’s (Alakotuku) Elect foot 3; seven competitors
Maiden Hunters. —Open to all horses that have not won a competition at any agricultural show: \V. Scott’s (Aokuutcrc) Tiuakoho 1, 13. B. AlcEwen’s (Longburu) Black Watch 2, A. Gallagher’s (Palmerston North) Playboy 3; JU entries.
