MOTOR-CAR FATALITY.

(Per Press Association.) WAIPAWA. June 1

A taxi-car driven by F. Phillip while proceeding to a hall at Elsthorpe last evening capsized, with the result that Aliss Polly Wedde, of Otane, was fatally injured. The car skidded on the loose shingle for over 100 yards, and the car crossed and recrossed the road while the driver strove to retain control. Tho last swing took the machine over the side. Aliss Wedde was pinned down and her neck broken. The other occupants, numbering seven, escaped with minor injuries.
