THE BRITISH LIBERALS.
DESIRE FOR RE-UNION
LONDON, June 1
Viscount Grey, speaking at the labera! Conference at Buxton, said there was a natural desire for a Liberal reunion, but public discussion only retarded it. The Liberals cannot forget past differences, particularly the moral difference, after tiio armistice, which was deeper than the difference of prorammes. There were many in the Liberal Party who would resent a re-union brought about as a matter of tactics and manoeuvring, Unity would come from the policy of conviction against the acts of the present Government. —A. and N.Z. cable.
