SOME HIGH PRICES

At a sale of milking Shorthorn bull calves and heifer calves which was held at Messrs Ranstead Bros.' farm at Matangi, Waikato, on Thursday, of the 37 lots submitted the average price per animal was £4O ss. The three highest prices in each class were as follow: —Bull calves: “Matangi Puree Glaxo,” 120 guineas, and two others 87 and 65 guineas respectively; heifer calves: “Matangi Quality 6tb,” 64 guineas, '“Matangi Patricia 2nd,” 51 guineas, and ’‘Matangi Rangi” 44 guineas.
