WAR HEROE'S GRAVEB.
CEMETERIES ON GALLIPOLI. LONDON, March 23, Lieutenant Mildenhali, the New Zealand representative of the War Graves Cotomiasion on Gallipoli, has arrived in London. He reports that work is proceeding satisfactorily, the commission utilising Italian and Russian labourers as the Greeks fled after the Smyrna catastrophe. Five ceimtries in the Anzac area have been completed, except the headstones, whi6h will come from England. Work on. two cemateries at Mudros, one at Smyrna; and two at Constantinople is proceeding. At'present Gallipoli is occupied by 15>QQ0 British troops. ' • [■ The Graves Commission is rather apprehensive of trouble when the troops are withdrawn. The Turks have constructed ft railway across the peninsula to Anzac, enabling them to command both sides. The New Zealand war memorials at Li Ouesnoy are to be unveiled conjointly with the French, memorials in June, Marshall Joffre attending. The Messines and Gr* venstafe! memorials will be unveiled at ttw end of September.—A. and N.Z. cable.
