Members of the Post and Telegraph staff entertained members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association at a social evening last night. A billiards match between teams representing the P. and T. and the H s <\. played early in the evening, resulted as follows, R.S.A. players being meniloncd first:—W. MacMillan 200 yD. Harwood 147, T. Pond 200 v, ]-. Amber 124, A. W. Chapman 200 v. L. Broughton 131* W Hughes 200 v. L. Anderson 162 U S. A. thus won in the aggregate by 235 points, After supper had been served, a pleasing programme of musical, elocutionmy and other items was contributed by Messrs Titchener, Blandford, Lo Koi, .weens, Fisher, Cousins, O’Brien and A. W. Chapman. Mr Walpole acted ns accompanist.
