DAIRYING INDUSTRY.
GETTING READY FOR NEW SEASON
BRIGHT PROSPECTS REPORTED,
Taking advantage of the fact that the dairying season has now “petered out,!’ butter and cheese factories throughout the district are at present undergoing a thorough overhaul. Indications point to Ute fact that by the middle of next month the now season should be beginning to gel into full swing. In the meantime, dairy cattle generally are inclined to ho slightly neglected at stock sales in the district. Only last week—to quote the experience at one local saleout, of 200 head of dairy cattle advertised less than 2C lonnd purchasers, With the recent advance in New Zealand dairy produce values on the English market, and the plenitude of feed brought about by a prolonged spell of favourable weather, the dairying prospects throughout Manuwaln for the ensuing season arc considered to bo very bright, The enquiry for dairy farms in the district is reported to he still maintained.
