TAIKOREA METHODIST CHURCH.
(Prom a Correspondent.) On Sunday'the anniversary services were held in the Taikorea Methodist Church, when there was a large attendance. Mr (juy. of Peilding, preached in the morning, bis' text being "Slmth, a Alan ol Hod. The evening services were conducted by the minister, Rev. Wills, who gave an excellent sermon io the parents, taking tor his subject, "As for me and my house we will serve ilm Lord." The children sang several beautiful unihems remarkably welf and great praise is due to .Mrs 11. Rniith, ihe organist, also Mr 11. Hart lor (heir untiring ell'orts. Un Tuesday a social evening was held to celebrate anniversary day. Tea was provided foi _ the children at a quarter to m\'. after which the adults 3i it down to a -pread. which marie one think hard iimes bad never visited 1 aikorea. Rev. Wills opened the entertain n ,ent wiih the bvmn. '-AH people that on earth do dwell." Afterwards all repeated il, e f.ord's Praver. Anthems were again suiik bv the children. Items were given by «everaf scholars and games indulged m by the voung people io n late hour, -Mrs Smith, also Misses Hart and Field, doing iheir best to make the evening an enjoyable one.
