LOW-LYING LANDS.
RECLAMATION PROPOSALS. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, June 14. A proposal has boon made by Mr George kelson (o rerlaim Iho low-lying lands in Hip vicinity of Napier by the Dutch dyke system instead of by banks for keeping oni the sea. This will have the object of keeping back the flood waters. The drainage will lie removed from an enclosed area by electrically-driven pump?. The area atl'ecccd is 10,000 acres. A conference of local bodies has been tailed for June 30 to consider the scheme.
