MR WILFORD IN HAWKE'S BAY. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER. May 16. As the result of the visit of Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., Leader of the _ United Liberal-Labour Party, to Hawke's Buy, Messrs Gilbert McKay and A. E. Jull, Liberal candidates at last election for the Hawke's Bay and Waipawa seats respectively, have been chosen Io stand in the party's interests at the next election. Mr Jull'has asked time to consider the matter. LABOUR NOMINATIONS. WELLINGTON, Nominations of Labour candidates to contest the Wellington seats will not close until tho end of June, when the Labour Representation Committee will hold a selection ballot. Up to the present the following have been mentioned: —Wellington East, Mr A. E. Moutcith. secretary of tho Tramways' Union; Wellington South, Messrs 11. Dyson (secretary of tho Storemen's Union), A. M. Keen (secretary of the Grocers' Union), and J. McKen/.te (assistant secretary of tho Hotel and Restaurant Workers' Union); Wellington Suburbs, Mr A. W. Croskery (secretary of the Amalgamated Shop Assistants' Socieiy); Wellington North, Mr 0. 11. Chapman (secretary of the Typographical Union) and Mr Snow; Wellington Central, Mr P. Eraser. It is understood that Mr H. E. Coombs, secretary of the Post and Telegraph Officers 1- Association, wilt bo nominated in the Labour interest for Wellington North, ami that Mr M. J. Macksecretary of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and president of the Alliance of Labour, may he nominated for Wellington East. Mr C. 11. Pritchard will again contest the Ilutt seat for Labour. MR MACK'S DENTAL. WELLINGTON, May 17. Mr M. J. Mack, of Wellington, denies that ho has anv intention of standing: for Parliament at die general election.
